It's time for midterms, which means less going out and more studying. The midterm culture in Korea is nothing to be taken lightly of. Going to school in another country is a challenge in itself, but having to switch from all online classes to in-person makes the process so much more difficult. It hit me all at once when I realized that I had 4 exams that I had to take, so I went into studying mode for the entire week. Even so, I did take a few breaks from studying, such as going to cute cafes and museum showcases.
I went to the Daelim Museum in Seongsu-do, and the theme of the museum display at the time was called "Romantic Love", a gallery of romantic imagery and lovely designs. We took a lot of pictures there as it was so pretty, and afterward me and my friend went to a cafe by the Han River to continue our studying. The cafe was called Check_grow, and it was an 8-story cafe with an interesting and modern interior design.
Another cafe that I went to was the Flower Cafe near my school. This cafe was so cute and cozy, and each drink that you get came with a fresh flower sticking out on the cup holder of your drink and some biscuits to pair with the drink. It was a flower shop and a cafe all in one, so it smelled fragrant in there as well. We went back a few times because the atmosphere was just so peaceful and perfect for studying.
In my Organizational Behavior class, we had a scavenger hunt as a bonding exercise to bring our group together. It was a serious scavenger hunt because we had an hour to either buy or find the items and bring them to class, so me and my team were running around everywhere to get all the items. Even though we tried our best, we came dead last but it was alright because we still had fun in the end. I really like my OB class because the professor gives us hands-on activities that tie into the material.
