Officially, Jeju has to be one of the best trips I've ever gone on. The air was clear, the weather was perfect, and the people were so nice! It also reminded me of home a lot, which made the island so much more comforting to visit. We only had two full days there, so we definitely made the most out of it!
To sum up the events of the first day: we went to a cave, went to a museum, took pictures in a garden, went to a market, went on a hike, went to the beach, had mango bingsu, and had an amazing lunch and dinner! The highlights were definitely the garden and the bingsu! The museum was also interesting since we learned about the history of Jeju and I loved walking around the market and buying tangerines which are like the food mascot of Jeju. The hike was a bit difficult because it was not a scenic route but a full-on hike, but the view at the very end was worth it. Our tour guide was also a super entertaining guy, and he made the tour much more enjoyable commentating on it for us.
And summing up the events for the second day: we went to the Hello Kitty Museum, went to a lovely botanical garden, went to another market, ate Jeju black pork, and bought souvenirs. The Hello Kitty Museum was right up our alley! There were so many cute rooms to take pictures in! I loved walking around the botanical garden and learning about different plants. The souvenirs in Jeju are the cutest and there's a huge selection of them too! The black pork was one of the best dishes I've ever tasted.
And we flew back to Seoul the next day. It was bittersweet to leave but I'll never forget the kindness of the people in Jeju and the amazing experience that we had there!
Right before Jeju, we did stop by Seoul Fashion Week to view some of the runway shows happening. As a fashion major, it was really cool to see a runway in real life. We also got interviewed by some students about the event and why we decided to attend. I'm glad that it happened while we were there because I've been looking forward to some fashion events in Seoul!
