week 15 ! skiing and myeongdong christmas lights

We wanted to do one more big activity in the middle of studying, so this week we went skiing! We used Trazy and booked a day tour that included the commute by tour bus and the ski rentals including the ski clothes. Our ski clothes were chosen randomly so they were a bit... interesting... but it made the skiing all the more fun. I was worried that it would be hard to learn how to ski, but we actually picked it up really quickly! It wasn't too hard and I got the hang of it pretty soon. I stayed on the kiddie slope but a few of my friends advanced to a steeper slope.

We basically spent the whole day skiing and my legs were so sore by the end of it, so it was really rewarding when we went for Shabu Shabu for dinner. It was one of the best meals that we've had here, and the shop owners were so nice to us. Afterward, we noticed how lively the streets of Myeongdong were and ate some street food to end the night! I ate my favorite food here, a kebab, and a lot of other sweets. I liked the Myeongdong streets much better this time since there was actually a lot of street food available, and there were so many decorative Christmas lights that made the atmosphere festive.

The snowfall grew thicker as we studied in the dorms. We also tried to eat as much good food as we could around this time, despite the fact that it was so cold all the time. Some of the stuff we ate were pig intestines, ramen, and greek yogurt. Next week is the start of exams, so eating good food before the stress is much needed.
